Blackberry Q10 screen brightness dim issue

The screen brightness is fantastic on my Blackberry Z10. However, my Q10 is very dim. I contacted a support staff and he said that in order to conserve battery with the phone, the device is made with no auto-brightness toggle. I don’t want to have a defective device and they are all dim with the screen brightness.
The issues is significantly terrible foe me. When I go into a dark room to read text message, the auto brightness bring up a yellow dark background, but that should be supposed to be white color. I find it is difficult to get rid of it while viewing of text on a white webpage. That makesmy eye really straining with a poor experience.
Blackberry needs to fix the brightness issue on the Q10, like design for a option allowing users to disable auto brightness feature. Many people feel uncomfortable to read in a darkened room.
