BlackBerry hoàn tất thương vụ mua lại WatchDox, tích hợp vào BES12

Tháng trước chúng ta đã biết tin BlackBerry chi 150 triệu USD mua công ty bảo mật WatchDox, và hôm nay thương vụ này đã chính thức hoàn tất các thủ tục pháp lý.

WatchDox là một công ty cung cấp giải pháp

bảo mật cao cho đồng bộ và

chia sẻ file đa nền tảng. WatchDox được sử dụng rộng rãi tại một số cơ quan liên bang lớn nhất của Mỹ, cũng như một loạt các hãng phim chính ở Hollywood.

Sở dĩ sản phẩm của WatchDox được ưa chuộng vì cho phép khách hàng kiểm soát toàn bộ qui trình chỉnh sửa, sao chép, in ấn hoặc chuyển tập tin. WatchDox cung cấp các thiết lập toàn diện nhất về khả năng bảo mật nội dung và đạt chứng chỉ FIPS 140-2 của chính phủ Mỹ. Sử dụng thuật toán mã hóa được coi là tốt nhất hiện nay AES 256-bit cho việc mã hóa dữ liệu. Đồng thời, người dùng hoặc quản trị viên được trao quyền khóa hoặc dỡ bỏ truy cập vào những tập tin đã bị tin tặc tấn công.

Theo thông báo mới nhất của BlackBerry, WatchDox sẽ được tính hợp vào BES12. Đồng thời nó cũng được cung cấp như một giải pháp bổ sung cho Secure Work Space cho các thiết bị iOS và Android.

Acquisition expands BlackBerry&#039;s enterprise portfolio to provide the most secure end-to-end mobile solution

WATERLOO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 7, 2015) - BlackBerry Limited (NASDAQ:BBRY)(TSX:BB), a global leader in mobile communications, today announced that it has completed its acquisition of WatchDox, a data security company offering the most secure enterprise file-sync-and-share (EFSS) solutions on any device(1). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

WatchDox also ranks highest on the Ovum Decision Matrix for Enterprise File Sync and Share in terms of features that address end-user and IT management requirements.

WatchDox technology is unique because it allows security to travel with shared files on both mobile and desktop devices to give organizations full visibility and control over how files are edited, copied, printed or forwarded. WatchDox offers the most comprehensive set of content security capabilities that are Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 certified by the U.S. government and utilize best-in-class AES 256-bit encryption for data-at-rest and data-in-transit. Giving users the ability to control the level of security and permissions that travel with files through file wrapping, including setting limitations on viewing, sharing, saving and printing. Watermarking of content across all devices to prevent unwanted sharing by identifying the source of the file through screenshots, photograph or other validation means.
