Latin America

On June 1st, (beta) video calling arrived to iOS and Android users in 26 countries in Latin America. They include Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Martinique, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Martin, Uruguay and Venezuela. If you are in those countries, the video

chat feature should just be enabled now – no need to update your BBM software. Note: only video calls within the supported regions can be done today.

BB10 và ngược lại. Người dùng BBM trên BB10 vẫn chỉ có thể Voice Call sang BBM trên Android và iOS, tương tự, người dùng BBM trên Android và iOS cũng chỉ có thể Voice call sang BB10.

Ngoài ra, những thiết bị Android dùng chip Intel như Asus sẽ không được hỗ trợ Video Call. Các thiết bị Motorola X (XT1092, XT1095, XT1096) và Lenovo Vibe X (S960) chỉ có thể nhận được cuộc gọi Video 1 chiều và chất lượng hình ảnh sẽ rất kém.



System Requirements for BBM Video Chat

The following outlines the system requirements and expected functionality of BBM Video Chat;

BlackBerry 10

  • BlackBerry 10 OS
  • BlackBerry 10 smartphones are able to start BBM Video Chats to other BlackBerry 10 smartphones
  • BBM Video Chat between BlackBerry 10 and Android / iOS devices is not supported and will provide the option for BBM Voice Chat
iOS

  • iOS version 8 and later
  • iOS devices are able start BBM Video Chats between other iOS and Android OS devices
  • When a BBM Video Chat is started on an iOS device to BlackBerry 10 smartphones, the call will change to a BBM Voice Chat
Android

  • Android OS 4.4 (KitKat) and later
  • Android OS devices are able to start BBM Video Chats between other Android OS and iOS devices
  • When a BBM Video Chat is started on an Android device to BlackBerry 10 smartphones, the call will change to a BBM Voice Chat
Please Note:

  • Asus phones (and any mobile device using an Intel chipset) are currently not support and will establish a BBM Voice Call
  • Motorola Moto X (XT1092, XT1095, XT1096) and Lenovo Vibe X (S960) may see one way video / poor video during a BBM Video Chat
